Bipolar and RLS

I have Bipolar and am suffering from RLS. Are they related?

As skydnsr rightly pointed out, it's possible that medications for bipolar disorder can cause restless leg syndrome. Here's a journal article that discusses one known example of that:

Otherwise, there is nothing in the scientific literature to indicate a connection between bipolar mood disorder and restless leg. Are there any other questions I can help you with?

No, they're generally not thought to be related.  There might be small possibility that one of your psychotropic medications is causing the restless legs symptoms as a side effect, so you could ask you psychiatrist about that, if you haven't already.
