Why do I experience fatigue all the time?

I am a 22 year old female. At 9 o'clock in the morning I can't keep my eyes open. I have a chronic headache. Then at 3 o'clock in the afternoon I experience fatigue again. It's like I'm passing out for +- 20min or more.

I agree with the other post. Extreme fatigue and morning headaches are both symptoms of sleep apnea. People often believe that you have to be one of the following to have apnea: a man, a another, a person middle-aged or older, overweight. In fact, there is a correlation with all of those things and the liklihood of apnea. However, you do not have to fit into that box to have apnea. I work in sleep medicine and have skinny, petite young girls that don't make a sound while they sleep get diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Your best bet is to meet with a sleep Physician for a consultation. If you have an HMO, your general physician can refer you. Drive safely, and best of luck!

You need to ask your gp for a referral for a sleep study.  You may be having an issue with sleep apnea.  Apnea is not limited to older people, unfortunately.

Also, if you are taking any medications, make sure you check into their adverse affects.
