My own snore wakes me up. It started only recently. As soon as I'm about to fall asleep, I hear my own snoring and then I wake up.
I'm 40 years old, slim, I'm not sporting that much.
I have always snored, but four weeks ago, my neurologist gave me Carbamazepina and then I started to wake up to my own snore. I told this to the doctor and he suspended the pill already a week ago. He said I should wait for 3-5 days for the chemical to go out of my system, and I was hoping for my snores to be "back to normal" but it didn't happen. It's already a week and I simply can't sleep.
I went to see 2 mouth-ear-nose doctors. I do have the septum deviated. One of them says I need surgery so that I can breath ok and stop snoring, the other one said I don't need surgery because the deviation is not obstructive. It's very confusing.
Is it common to wake up to your own snore? Is this a sleep disorder?
I'm so depressed and upset, even having suicidal thoughts. Please help. Thank you.
Thank you.
