When falling asleep my brain becomes numb and it’s kinda euphoric why is this

It doesn’t happen all nights but when it does it will happen until I push through it and just fall asleep but right as I’m anout to fall asleep it’s like a euphoric feeling in my brain and it increases my heart rate does anyone know of anything like this I’ve searched google and haven’t found anything even really related

How do you know it increases your heart rate?  The euphoria I can understand but drowsiness and true sleep is more associated with a reduced heart rate.
