Breathing problems can come from many different health issues.  In my case, and I am much older than you, both nasal congestion and mild obstructive sleep apnea are known reasons.  I have been checked for emphysema and other lung problems and I don't appear to have any problem there (beyond my age).

Obstructive breathing problems can be caused by being over weight, not a common problem in India I believe, and from advanced age and thus loss of muscle tone/strength...neither is likely your problem at age 24.

I can get relief from nasal congestion using over-the-counter nasal decongestant sprays like a brand Afrin - but these can not be used every night, so I depend on saline (salt water) spray most of the time.  I have never consulted an ears-nose-throat specialist about my congestion, frankly I don't have much confidence in doctors on some of these issues anyway.  I have used two different doctor prescribed nasal sprays neither gave me much relief.  I did not have nasal congestion problem until I was in my 60s so even that doesn't relate to your situation - but some of my experience may help - I hope so.

Regularity in your 24 hours activities with good physical exercise, lots of bright light (sun if possible), regular eating times, and a quiet and comfortable sleeping environment may help.  I of course know nothing about what is going on during your day.. worry, anxiety, stress, .. can all contribute to an inability to sleep.

Many in the USA depend on sleeping pills, I find they do not help me, but my sleep disruptions are more due to dreaming problems and nasal congestion problems.

You may get some help by adding melatonin (an over the counter sleep medication in the USA) to your evening intake, best I can recall taken an hour or so before you  plan to go to sleep, again, make that as close to the same time every night as possible.

Good luck,
