where anyone in the military with sleeping problems

Does anyone on this forum having sleeping problem along with anxiety/anger.  Has anyone been told its related to Gulf war syndrome.  I served 180 days in Iraq/Basra/Saudi, I came home sick and the mitary compensates me but Drugs seem to be thier solution to everything.  As any drugs worked for anyone out there.  I can't s;epp withpou a pill.  I sleep great during the day but night is a different story.  How can someone have a sleeping disorder but sleep great in the day.  Any other military or civilians that feel this way.

I have that problem...it sounds like your circadian rhythm got turned around...it's weird but it does happen.  I'm not a veteran though, not remotely...and I've always been like this it didn't just develop.

Thank you for your service, and I hope that as a veteran suffering war effects, your medical treatment leaves nothing to be desired. Being interested in what studies are out there, I did a little googling and some reading over on PubMed, and it seems you are not alone in being a Gulf War veteran with a sleep disorder. I do hope you are under the care of a physcian especially versed in the specificity of the disorders in this population, and that your treatment is not based on assumption, meaning that a sleep study was done to rule out any underlying sleep disorders needing treatment. Hope you get some replies that help you with your sleep problems. I'm just another sleep disorder person offering you my well wishes.
