Well I made it! One year on New Years Eve! Im strutting my stuff here! Never take another puff is my motto. That is what stands between me and the addiction that controlled my every move for 35 years! Finally Im free!

Scorpio8, just look for milestones right now, like the fact that after 72 hours you are nicotine free in the body and it becomes a mindgame. It is mind over matter and not letting your wants get in the way. Yes it is the hardest thing in the world and at the same time, the most rewarding and that year goes by pretty fast too! You can do this if you want to quit more than you want to smoke. Never take another puff (that one puff will shred any willpower you might have!) Congratulations!!!!

Jade, I still cannot believe its been a whole year!!!!!! I couldnt have done this without you and everyone else here!!!! I dont ever want to have to go thru the quit process again so I will stay clean god willing! I dont much think about smoking anymore! But I sure do like to EAT! LOL

Congratulations thats amazing and i must admit am a bit jealous ha ha! can't wait to get to a year. I am on day two only and my god a whole year feels like a century away, this is the hardest thing I have ever done, didn't realise just how addicted I was. I only smoke roll up tobacco and about 10 a day, didn't think that was too bad but Jesus, this is hard, want to cry at least 4 times a day, please tell me it gets better soonish?????!!!! Argh!

Linda, HERE you are!  I had to take a week off from the computer, then I panicked for a minute because you were so far down the page, I didn't see you right off.  Congrats girl on One Year Smoke Free!  So very proud of you!  It's great to have all that behind you, huh?  Wonderful job!

Thank you all for the support. Kathyjo, I could not have done this without you and jade and all the others that come here! It is something about that one year mark ya kno!
