Symptoms at 8th week after Quit Smoking

Hi, I am Pappan. Age:29. I was smoking for last 10years. (20 cigarettes/week).

On 09th June i quit smoking. Initially for 2-3 weeks there was coughing with phlegm coming out. Now i am in 8th week after quit smoking. Now days i have throat pain while swallow and rarely phlegm coming out (no cough). Along with that slight cold (but not continuous). There is slight body pain from on yesterday.

Before i used to breath through mouth. But from on last couple of weeks i trying to practice to breath through nose. Yesterday i found some while particle on palatine tonsil.

Please help me to know the reasons for the reasons for throat pain and cold, is it common after quit smoking?
Why there is while particle on palatine tonsil?

Hi!
The symptoms could be due to quitting smoking. However, they can also be due to viral fever as you have sore throat, cold, difficulty in swallowing, and while particle (pus) on tonsil.
You can drink hot chicken broth and soup, warm lemonade, ginger and honey concoction. You can do warm saline gargles (gargling with warm water in which a pinch of salt is mixed) and apply vicks vaporub over your chest, throat and forehead/nose.If this does not help, please consult a doctor.
Take care!
