hi macca. I am in the same boat as you are. For me its been six days. I thought i was i imagining the dizzy part, so it is to be expected huh!  I am also eating a lot. I seem to feel hungry more frequently now. Of course the craving are still here, but it is something that can be managed. I hope u hang in there too.

- you are dizzy because your body is getting the oxygen it needs
-it is normal when stopping smoking. You will probably start to also feel tingles in feet and hands and they will feel warmer. This is your body getting started again with proper circulation.
-also foggy head and lack of concentration are normal as well for the first few weeks as there are drastic changes in the chemistry of your blood
- drink lots of water, fruit and veggies and walking will help.
-changes in sleep will also happen, make sure to rest a lot more because your are detoxing from a very addictive chemical
-after 72 hours the nicotine is out of your system, so then you are on to the heal part of the detox and may feel a little sicker as your body starts to recover.
-not uncommon to dream about smoking, to smell smoke in your hair, cloths etc.

Hi macca,

I agree with kathy in regards to seeing a doctor.  All I felt when I stopped was a bit of edginess.  Congrats on the five days!!!!  That is really awesome.  Keep up the good work!!!!

Those don't seem to be symptoms of a "quit" so maybe you should see your doctor. It sounds more like a flu.
A "Cold Turkey" quit generally lasts 72 hours and usually doesn't cause nausea unless you are using an NRT?
Whatever you do, don't pick them back up, it isn't worth it!

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
