What can cause sudden slurred speech and difficulty pronouncing certain words?

Been experiencing problems with slurred speech and pronouncing certain words since February of this year. I tried cutting out various anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications to see if this helped the issue, but it didn't help any.

The following things seem to make it worse -

1. Caffiene
2. Tiredness
3. High sugar content
4. Speaking with strangers or people I don't know as well

I have my good and bad days, but the issue seems to be getting worse. My primary doctor tried to tell me I was fine and even the speech therapist said I seemed fine because I happened to have a more clear day that day. I am only in my 30s and this issue is greatly disconcerting because I feel like I'm getting dementia :(.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would definitely go see a neurologist to rule out any lesions in the brain. A sudden onset is a red flag for something.

What ever happened with this?  Did you see your doctor?  One goes to the idea of stroke but I would hope not.  Let us know what happened.
