Did you hug a tree?  What kind was it and how did it make you feel?  I hope you felt really good as I am sure it was good for the tree to be loved :-)))

Just for the ready reference, i am giving the link where they have given the methods of hugging tree. Of course you will need to make a huggers' club. If alone -hugging a tree, you may be sent to mental asylum!
Energy exchange is prescribed by Reiki and pranic heling. Earth hugging is alo prescribed.
To get some results, one has to persist for for a long time and that too  with a sporting mind.

I feel the same. When I am in a woods or forest I feel stronger, even if I'm exhausted or low.

Hug a tree humph

Okay i hugged a tree lol umm i dont know ..... But let me open my mind

Lets start with logic

1. the tree is a living thing that in most cases is 100x older then you.
The earth in its self is living and the tree is like arms reaching for the sky.

Spiritual

the tree has a life force and thus gives off an erengy if you wish to call this earth energy then that is fine.

Ive never thought of hugging a tree but its nice to be around plants. I does make you feel different. sitting in my back yard is a nice thing but walking in a heavyly forested area taking in the fresh air feels so right.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons we started to make home out of them. I think it would have been intresting if we would have lived in trees like in fantasy

Osho, a controversial God's man narrates in his lecture a similar case. He used to park his car at the particuar tree. He had become a friend of the tree. He was a professor in the college. He left the college ane returned after many yerars to the town and visited the tree. The  Tree was almost dead.
I used to do Reiki to a tree in my garden.I did itt fo almost six months. This postings reminded me to do it again. I will start from to-day only. Thanks for your posting.

You know what? Trees are living Beings with nervous systems etc. I think we need to be careful, and make sure we treat them with the right feelings. Because I once spent some time weeping an awful lot of pain out while holding a tree. I had so much grief and pain in me. I never thought about the tree, and if I had done, I would have assumed the tree was strong enough to cope with that. But you know what happened? That year the tree didn't flower. The next year it was dead. It had been there for so long, flourishing before I did that.
I feel we should give a tree as much love and respect as if it was an animal or even a Human.

In fact hugging a tree, sitting under a tree, sitting with keeping one hand on a tree are recommended for healing purposes. Different trees have different healing properties. Some parks are developed on such themes.
Mental hugging has almost similar benefits as subconscious mind does not differentiate between actual and imagined.
It is proved that trees have emotions. If you talk to them warmly, they reciprocate in similar vein.  So hugging is recommended for grounding oneself. By hugging a tree you are connected to the earth. These things are narrated fully in Reiki and Pranic healing literature.
Different type of scenarios are used in Yog- Nidra (Divine Sleep), to create some special effect on sub conscious mind to bring the mind in alpha vibrations. It is quite an interesting subject. Thamks.

Thank you for sharing that Dalubaba :-)  I haven't hugged a tree literally in a lonnnnnng time.  I enjoy looking at them with their individual shapes and sizes.  They have always struck me as interesting.  They provide for so much that we take for granted.

It leaves me thinking about how we barely scratch the surface of what there is to know about life and all it contains.

:-)))))  Can I hug them in my heart?
