INR Fluctuations

I am a 41yr old female who has had 2 strokes. My residual problems, thank goodness are mild.  I have been on Coumadin for 6 months now and my level is still not stable. My dosage is 7.5mg a day. On feb. 26th my INR was 1.3, yesterday it was 3.7. Arent these fluctuations harmful.  To me they seem drastic. My dosage during this time period has not changed and I am very aware of my diet. I am monitored by a Coumadin Clinic, but he doesnt seem concerned. Should I be?

That fact that you are concerned should be expressed to your doctor. Ask for a more detailed answer from him. He really is the best person to ask.
