What to do during a mini stroke?

Hi everyone! Hop all is well and kicking the stroke's ass!  I was just wondering, what do you do during a mini stroke? Do you get up and start walking around to get the blood flow going, (that's what I do), or do you sit down and relax? It's crazy that this mini stroke came back into my life! I had it come and go for about six months when I was younger back in 2006. When it happened back then, my whole right side of my body was paralyzed. The idiot doctor I seen back then said, "you're too young to have a stroke so it's not a stroke." So he sent me to a psychiatrist. All of a sudden it disappeared in 2007 all the way until now. Went to the hospital and did a CT Scan and was confirmed it was a stroke. Right now, it's happenning 2-4 times a day of my left side of my body being numb but not paralyzed with blurred vision towards my my left side. If I look at an object, I can't see what's to the left of it unless I look straight at it. It's so annoying that all of a sudden it came back. So my question is, what do you do during a mini stroke? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  So very sorry for the delay in answering your question.  We hope you've worked with your doctor on this serious issue.  Have you been to a neurologist? Please do this as soon as possible if not.  Mini strokes or transient ischemic attacks (TIA's), are serious.  They are basically a stroke, however, symptoms are temporary.  They are caused by a clot or bleed that interrupts blood flow to part of the brain.  When you ask what you should do during a TIA, you should go to the hospital.  It's impossible to know if it is a TIA or a true full stroke when it is happening.  You should be evaluated. A TIA also can lead to a stroke that leaves permanent damage.  Therefore, treating you for the condition is important. They'll want to check your blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and health of blood vessels.  You may need medication.  https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/mini-stroke-what-should-you-do  and https://www.stroke.org/en/about-stroke/types-of-stroke/tia-transient-ischemic-attack/what-is-a-tia  Please see your doctor for guidance for your next step if you haven't.  We do not want you to have a full stroke.  Let us know how you are doing.
