Hello.
I am an undergraduate student studying industrial design . I am currently trying to design dinnerware (cups, plates, bowls etc..) for stroke survivors. However, I do not know what physical (and emotional) issues stroke survivors deal with.
What are the major issues involved with eating for stroke survivors, especially for young stroke survivors?
I know some assistive dinnerware already exists but there are not that many options. Additionally, there are no current products that seem (socially) inclusive and work to NOT call attention to the assistive functionalities.
Are there any products that seem to work well? What functions/designs would you want to see in a potential plate, bowl, cup...?
