pregnancy after stroke

I am 5 yrs post stroke, 37.  I would like to have another baby.  I feel fine.  I still do not have full use of my affected side.  I had my stroke when I was 32 and doctors have not determined what caused it, other than a clot.  How do you deal with caring for the baby?  I am worried about medications harming the fetus.  I have an appt scheduled to talk about my medications.  For those who have had babies:  did you feel labor pains?  Did you have a c-section or vaginal birth?

There are other blood thinners to be on during pregnancy (levonox).  You should maybe go see a hematologist...I found mine to be very helpful.

I am almost 6 years post stroke (age 35) and would like to have another baby.  I feel very lucky to have full use of everything!  Mine was pretty major (bilateral carotid dissection).  what have your doctors said?  Mine said I should be fine, but I for sure would have to be on blood thinner (2 shots in my stomach every day)!  What kind of meds are you still on?
