Proverbs 3:5-6; Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Philippians 4: 6-9
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me -- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." (NIV)

Amen. I have a friend who was feeling a lot of pain because ever since she became a born again Christian her family has only mocked her and made fun of her. She dreads having to spend time with them for this reason. I told her to remember that Jesus, Himself, was mocked, beaten, spit upon, tried unfairly for crimes He did not commit. His friends scattered for awhile in fear, one even denying he ever knew Him.
Yes, He understands! He understands our pain.He understands being unfairly treated, persecuted even. We have a Savior who understands everything we go through because He has experienced it all and has shown us the perfect example.
Yes, it hurts when others hurt us or treat us unfairly, but we must keep our eyes on Jesus through it all. He will bring us through whatever we are going through and walk with us, even if it seems He's the only one walking with us and everyone else has abandoned us. It's more important that we please Him than man. We will receive our prize someday and only God is the judge who will judge fairly with all of us and those who have treated us unfairly. It's so important to keep our hearts softened towards Him and open to hearing His voice so that we don't let Satan bring us down or cause defeat or even bitterness in us. Even if the answers are long in coming, He does answer our prayers and will always be faithful to those who put their trust in Him.
Thank God for that!

I love Hebrews 4:14-16:
"He gave us a wonderful High Priest, Jesus the Son of God, who came to live with us and who has now gone up to heaven into the very presence of God, ministering there on our behalf. So let's hold firmly to the faith we profess. We don't have a High Priest who doesn't understand us or who's incapable of feeling our pain. He was tempted in every way more powerfully then we will ever be tempted, yet He never sinned. So let's approach our Father's throne with confidence, asking Him for mercy and grace to help us, especially in our time of need."
I just love it because this kind of intercession is what every person needs every day: the peace of pardon and the power of interceding grace. It's a mighty promise that Christ’s powerful presence, through the Holy Spirit and angels, reaches out to every person committed to Him.He strengthens the believer’s will power and is ever ready to assist human beings in resisting sin, both from within and without. Jesus simply shares with us the system by which He overcame temptation. :)

I used to pray this one over my daughter when she was going through a difficult time. It gives us all hope, doesn't it? God's plans are always for good.
