Abdominal Pain

I am a 21 year old athlete/student. I have been having problems for about the last 2 years with my stomach. I have had moments where I cant stay out of the bathroom.. throwing up/diarrhea. When this happens I pass out and end up in the ER. One night I went to the ER twice. I had a colonoscopy along with other tests to find I had colitis and that was it. Everytime I ate I had the worst cramps and pains in my abdominals/ lower back. So I stopped getting checked because the dr's concluded it as colitis and to change my diet. Recently I herniated my lower discs in my back white weighlifting. I have been constipated for about 2-3 weeks and everytime I feel like I have to go to the bathroom and try, nothing is there but blood and mucus. I have had maybe 2 small bowel movements in the 3 weeks but both times it hurt and was bloody. Theres also some tissue looking stuff bloody in the toilet. My abdominals are in constant pain, not to bad though. I do not know what I should do or what may be going on.

I agree, you need to see a doctor, the sooner the better, even if it means another ER visit. Your colitis is a chronic disease, it's not an acute one like the flu.......you get it, have it and when you feel better, it's completely gone. The blood in the stools is probably the result of a small fissure, or tear, on the anus. You can certainly have that happen with being constipated. If you really can't go to the bathroom, it could be the colitis, it could be a blockage, but if this is really accurate, I would be expecting you to be throwing up every day as a result of not being able to pass your stools. See a doctor.

you should seek medical attention blood or mucus in your stool is a bad sign.. but to clear constipation good ol prune juice.. its nasty but itll work.. i still would suggest going to the hospital if it has bin 3 weeks because you can go toxic and then youll be wishing you had have gone sooner. the hospital will give ya a good laxative aswell.. but dont wait any longer..
