Vulvar cyst? Something else? Please help.

I'm 14 and I've never been to a gyno. I never really needed to. But recently I noticed a white lump in one of my outer lips in my vulva and I don't know what it is. I searched and I though it could be a vulvar cyst which usually goes away on it's own if you take care of it and stuff. But I'm starting to worry because the lump I found got bigger and it's now itching, but when I touch it it's painful. I'm scared of what it might be and of going to gynecologist for the first time, especially because of something like this. I don't know a friend I could talk to about this and I don't want to worry my parents yet. If anyone could help, please, reply with some answers.

It does sound like a cyst or a boil of some kind, and while painful, it isn't likely life- or health-threatening.  Now is a really good time for you to have your first gyno appointment, though.  If you haven't had the HPV vaccine, you should get that, too.  If you tell your mom about the cyst, she probably won't freak  out, since it really isn't anything to freak out about.
