Do I have pin worms?

So I went to have a wee and I was on my period and when I looked at the toilet paper I saw about ten very small (about half a centimeted to a centimetre long and very thin) worm like things. I was not phased by them as I thought they were just part of the tissue or something and then they started to move just ever so slightly. I have found a few more since them and some move much more than others. I have real pain near my vagina it’s really itchy. My anus is even worse with one side very much swollen. I have 2 cats that sleep regularly on my bed having just come in from catching mice in the fields and I bite my nails. I am 16 and I don’t know if it’s possible to have pin worms at 16??? Is this likely to be pinworms and what is the best form of action? Other than pinworms, is there anything else that it could be? Is there any way of curing pin worms without going to the pharmacy or the doctor’s as my Mum is convinced that I am overreacting but it is very painful and disgusting to know that something is moving around near your vagina and anus as well as being incredibly uncomfortable? Can I cure it with sudocreme?

It definitely sounds like you have parasites.  You need to see a doctor - there is no way to cure an internal infestation without medication, and without knowing what kind of parasite you may have.

Yes,  it sounds like pin worms they are quite common and can be in food that you've eaten or from your cats but they enter through the mouth and live in and around your anus.  At your local drug store you can buy a pack of pinworm medication,  it is not required to have a prescription.  I had pin worms about a month ago.
