Why is my period late?

I am in my early teens. My period is late by about two days, and it is often quite irregular, but I believe this is due to the immense amount of stress I have been through this past month with school and personal issues. I have been having weird nipple darkening, excess white/clear sticky (and thick) discharge, and I often feel quite sick. To induce my period, however, I have been taking large doses of Vitamin C (3,000mg-4,000mg) for the past week (to help increase estrogen levels). Could this excess estrogen be causing some of the pain, or could it be the stress, because I've read that estrogen dominance can lead to abdominal bloating, excess white discharge, and breast changes as well. I have never had bad PMS symptoms before this. My period has not come yet, I'm not sure when it will, and I started taking birth control pills today. I am not pregnant, and there is no possibility that I could be. What's causing the delay of my period, and is it the excess estrogen causing all of these changes? What can I do? Also, I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cysts earlier this month, and we believe I might have Endometriosis.

While I was on Vitamic C, my discharge was mostly thick white/clear, but I had my period last week, and right now, I am experiencing some vaginal dryness (but not very much.) I did some research, and since Vitamin C boosts your estrogen levels, the dominance of the hormone can cause excess discharge, darkened nipples, and some of the other "pregnancy-like" symptoms I was having. I spoke with a health specialist, and they said that taking high doses of Vitamin C is NOT good for your body, and to only let your body do what it wants, and when it wants.

I was taking high doses of vitamin c which may have lead me to have the whitish discharge that you speak of are you experiencing vagina dryness also ?
