Why is there blood when I wipe after urination, but no blood in urine?

Today I went to the store and bought a Monistat complete care test to test for a yeast infection. I felt like a had a UTI, but wanted to make sure it wasn’t a yeast infection. Anyways, when I did the test and put the swap in, I felt a little pop in my vagina and fluid start leaking out and then it started to bleed. It was very painful when I inserted it. Now everytime I used the restroom and wipe there is blood, but I do not have any blood in my urine and there is no blood that leaks into my underwear. When I did the test, did I do something to cause this to happen?
