Hi everyone. I have a concern.
I am almost 2 months delayed. My last regular period was 3rd week of April. My cycle is every 26 days, and it is quite regular, for my November-December cycle last year which got delayed for about 4 weeks.
Last month, May 27, I had light bleeding for one day. The blood was red and fresh. After that, I did not experience any bleeding anymore. I used 3 different pregnancy testers, at different times of the day, and the results were all negative. I have been gaining weight for the past months, even before my menstruation got delayed. Aside from the delayed period and the weight gain plus the "possible spotting," I do not feel any other signs of pregnancy.
My boyfriend and I are both sexually active and we do not really use artificial contraceptives. We follow the withdrawal and rhythm method, meaning we only have intercourse during my infertile days and he never really ejaculates inside me. Although I know that these methods are not really 100% effective.
Anyway, lately my lifestyle has changed. I always stay up late at night, get stressed, because I got some online job. I've read that stress can also cause delayed periods but well... I do not know.
My parents are getting suspicious and they do not approve of my relationship with my boyfriend so I really need some advice. Going to the doctor is out of the question because I'm kind of underage and the OB will probably just sell me to my parents.
