im confused ):
Im only 17, i took a home test about 2 weeks ago and the test came up positive. ive been having amost all symptoms. but when i went to the doctor and took a blood test it came up negative, so im very confused. could the doctor test possibly be wrong?
Oh, false negatives are much more common (taken too soon after conception to register the hormone)- but that is much more rare in a doctors office that does a blood draw.

It is my understanding that 99.99999999 positive pregnancy tests are accurate. False positives are very very rare.
You could have had a chemical pregnancy and already miscarried but honestly, that would be unlikely as you'd still have the hormone that sustains pregnancy present, I'd think.It would diminish each day after the miscarriage until it was completely gone and I don't know how long that takes.
What kind of test did you use at home? Could it have actually been an ovulation test (they look the same)??? Are you sure you read it correctly?
Anyway, I'd ask your doctor this question. If they gave you a pregnancy test after you had a positive, I'd ask them about this.
Again, it would be a fluke of nature for you to read positive on a test and not be pregnant (if the pregnancy hormone makes the test positive, then pregnancy is present). good luck
