Thyroid Test results -Low cortisol and High Thyroglogulin AB

My test results came back and my doctor was on vacation--I am awaiting a call back from her. I have done the search online and I am freaking out a bit.

My doctor found several tiny nodules in my thyroid (no biapsy yet). My Cortisol is .5 normal is 4 to 22 (test at 8:30am with the pills)

My Thyroglobulin AB is 34.1 normal is less than 20.  I spoke with my health insurance nurse and she said that there is a possibility that it could be cancer.  Can anyone offer any suggestions? Comfort on what the chances of this are?

Thank you for the information.  I think that the nurse told me all of the possibilities--I was already thinking cancer so I may have stuck with that thought.  I do feel better thank you.  I have other psoriasis as well which may contribute to this issue.

Thank you for a clearer picture

If you are on steroid pills, a pre-dose am cortisol of 0.5 is okay.  If not, then would test further for adrenal insufficiency.

Tg-Ab positivity has no prediction whatsoever for cancer -- I would report the health insurance nurse for erroneous and frightening mis-information.

The positive Ab is more consistent with Hashimotos - which is the likely explanation of "several tiny nodules"

Thyroid nodules could be cancer, but only 5-10% chance and I usually biopsy at 1cm or more.
