2+ weeks post RAI. Eating healthier, etc.

I'm a little over 2 weeks post RAI. TT in December for pap. carcinoma. Now I'm getting back onto the Synthroid bandwagon. Is there a special diet that I should be following to help my meds work or at least to not inhibit them? I know not to eat or drink for an hour after taking meds, but is there anything else? My doc says no. I don't believe him.

I know this probably sounds silly, but I have this urge to be healthier. You know, eat healthier, exercise, etc. Did anyone feel this way after thy ca diagnosis and treatment? It's probably just neurotic of me, but I'm really starting to want to take that whole, "You are what you eat" thing seriously.......
Thoughts?
:)

I noticed minute Maid orange juice had calcium in it...so I wait untill after noon to get my juice and milk products. also i don't touch soy milk anymore..interfers with thyroid med. I had my RAI 7/07   TT w/ pap cancer. I read all the time on what foods will help me feel healther..and finally am feeling like I can start an excerise program..maybe join a group.
Good luck to  you and God bless.

If you take a calcium supplement, wait 4 hours after taking your synthroid, before taking it.Eating healthier and exercising can only help!
