Stupid Question

This is gonna sound like a stupid question but I'm gonna ask it anyway. After a TT are you considered "Hypothyroid" forever no matter what your levels are since you don't have a thyroid gland?

I have had RAI and TT for Graves and Hyperthyroidism and am now considered (as it says on my lab sheets)........
Hyperthyroid , Graves, Post RAI on Eutroxzig (T4).

I think that is the question you are really trying to ask. Correct me if I am wrong.

I do believe without meds that would be the case, but on meds it can be totally normal.  I had a partial 3yrs ago and mine is normal with meds even though the other side stopped working

Well, many doctors consider you hyper if your TSH level is below the low limit of the  reference range, or or sometimes just low in the range.  This makes no sense to me.  Your thyroid state should be defined by the symptoms you have, not the levels.  You should be considered as hyper only if you have hyper symptoms.
If your thyroid hormone levels are adjusted adequately and you have no symptoms, then you are considered Euthyroid.   You would only be hypo forever, if your hypo symptoms never go away, due to inadequate medication..
