Thank you so much. I will make sure to make a note of that and be sure to have that done when I go to MUSC. The Test he ordered was Thyroglobulin, Thyroid Peroxid.
I looked it over and what I gave you is all he has done. He said my thyroid was swollen and said see you in 3 months. Thats when I decided to go to MUSC. Thanks for your help.
About all I can tell you for certain is that your TGab is normal if it is 16.3.
It doesn't look like TPOab even has a result. Check your lab report again...the result of this test might be a very large number (like in the thousands).
However, this doesn't make sense with your diagnosis because if you have an autoimmune thyroid disease, antibodoes ought to be elevated.
Normal range for TSH is currently 0.3-3.0, so yours is in range.
I'm sorry to say that I just don't have enough information to comment further. When you go to MUSC, make sure the run FT3 and FT4. They will tell you a lot more about your thyroid status than TSH.
the results I gave you was all that was on the test.. THATS IT!!!!
I am new to all this so I need all the help I can get. Yes I think the TGab 16.3 and the range <20 is correct. Other then that, this is all I know. I have no idea about all this stuff and I can't seem to get any answers when it comes to antibodies and thyroid and all these numbers. Any ideas????
Please clarify your antibody results. TGab was 16.3 with a reference range of <20, is that correct? And your TPOab result was what (normal <10)?
Did you have free T3 (FT3) and free T4 (fT4) tests also?
