Calcium and Parathyroid levels

Thanks in advance for answering my question.

In 2007 I had 1 bad parathyroid gland removed. My Calcium was 10.6 and PTH was 59
My labs have been normal since the surgery.
Just recently my calcium came back low  8.5  (range 8.6-10.2)  and PTH is on the low side 18 (range 10-65)
Is this indicative of Hypoparathyroidism and should more tests be run?

Thanks!

Oh No.....I don't want to be contagious. At least the low calcium is easier to fix than the thryroid ones!   My endo seems on top of her game...will see what happens on Thursday.

Awww... I have a great ENT... so I love him.

I think you are contagious - my calcium was low when I got my tests today. I am not happy at all! Of course, now my doc just says take an extra cal pill - er, what about the gallons of milk I drink?

Yup, those thyroid numbers are low low low... hope the endo is more brilliant.

Well, the ENT visit was a total waste of time. If it does not involve surgery, he could give a crap. Basically looked at my numbers and said "all is normal"

Talked to my endocrinologist via email and she is working me in next week. I am feeling hopeful that she can help me. Had more repeat labs done on Tuesday by my PCP and hoping to have some good results.  Think something is going on with my Thyroid too!
TSH 3rd generation .45    range .40-4.50
Free T4  1.1    Range 0.8-1.8
Free T3  292   Range 230-420

Yes - your calcium should never be low. That is something that your body regulates well since it can effect your heart, muscles, etc. I would go see an ENT or endocrinologist and get ionized calcium and other tests done as well as scans done on the parathyroids left.
