Can a thyroid disorder cause purple fingernails?

Hi, if a person has purple fingernails all the time, can that person have a thyroid disorder?

Hi, my hands are cold sometimes, but I don't think the temperature is changing the colour of my fingernails. They are just purple all the time. Do you think it's raynaud's?

Are your hands always cold?  You probably have raynauds disease.  I have had this since I was a child.  Basically it is bad circulation in your extremities (hands and feet).
