can Levothyroxine cause vaginal discharge

I am 64, widowed for  years and not sexually active. Last August I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and after 3 adjustments in meds I am taking levothyroxine 50 .mcg a day and seem to be doing fine. My normal weight was just under 124 and now I am up to 130 with no changes in my diet. I seemed to have leveled off and not gaining by can't lose it either...is this caused by the medication? Another concern is that in the last 3 months or so I have developed a thick yellowish green vaginal discharge. I had a hysterectomy at age 29 and not on HRT, have had no antibiotics and there is no discomfort other than the mess it causes. Can the levothyroxine cause this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for responding. I made an appointment and can't get in for another week since my doctor is on vacation and I don't want to see her cover so just thought I would search on my own to see if I could find some causes.

Are you still having the same discharge issues?

I don't know but I would definitely go see a dr asap in case you have an infection.  Not all infections case discomfort.  I had one years ago, and it did come on after starting another kind of med, but it didn't hurt.

Best to get something like that checked out.  Good luck.
