Confusing Results

I have noticed my neck getting larger and I have been experiencing fatigue during the day, its hard to get up in the morning, and after I eat I usually feel like I'm going into a coma. It's not a tired feeling like I didnt get enough sleep, it's more like I feel a lack of energy, and sometimes I get a little blurry vision from it and I forget what I am saying sometimes, lose train of thought.
I had blood taken and went to get an ultrasound.
The blood work was only used to get TSH levels which were 1.563.

The ultrasound report: the right lobe measuring 5.5 x 1.5 x 1.7 cm.....the left lobe measured 4.3 x 1.2 x 1.7 cm. The thyroid is homogeneous and the echogenicity is normal. A small hypoechoic lesion consistent with a cyst is identified at the lower pole of the left thyroid lobe measuring 4mm. No dominant nodule is identified.
4mm lower pole left thyroid lesion consistent with colloid cyst. Otherwise normal thyroid ultrasound.

My doctor told me that the cyst was nothing to worry about, it might be there forever or it might go away, but its not serious and its not cancer so leave it alone and i'll be fine.
He couldnt explain the fatigue, so he set me up with a sleep study to look for sleep apnea.

My question is does this sound right. I dont think I have sleep apnea, and if I do I understand it could be caused by a thyroid problem, so if I treat the sleep apnea it would not fix the thyroid problem, if there is one.
Also with the cyst, I find it strange that the right lobe is so much larger than the left lobe and the left lobe is where the cyst is. I am wondering if the cyst could be pressing on the thyroid and causing it to appear smaller, but also could the cyst pushing against the thyroid, could that cause any problems with the thyroid.

Lastly, I spoke to a number of people who found it strange that if my doctor thought I have a thyroid problem, he should have ordered T3 and T4 tests as well as the TSH test.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist, but that wont be happening for a few weeks.

If I were you I would get a second opinion on this issue.

GET A SECOND OPINION. The first doctor could be correct, but you are seconding guessing him (I would be), so that feeling warrants a second opinion. It is your body, and you only have one, so do all you can to get it taken care of, even if it means a second opinion.

It is common for one lobe to be larger then other; the cyst like that does not reqiure treatment. It will be good idea to order Free T4/T3 test
