That is what I suspected. You are taking a good dose of T4 and it is not adequately converting to T3. This is very common and results in Free T3 being low in the range, while your Free T4 is at the high end of the range. Guess which one regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Right. It isn't Free T4.
You need a change in meds to include T3, in order to get your Free T3 up in the range of about 3.50 - 3.70, or as necessary to relieve symptoms. Probably the easiest way is to get your doctor to reduce your Free T4 and replace with a T3 med like Cytomel. The alternative would be to replace some of your T4 with Armour, or Nature-Throid. Either would likely work, as long as it was enough to raise your Free T3 adequately.
If your doctor has any question about the necessity of Free T3, then you can provide a copy of this study that shown that Free T3 correlated best with hypo symptoms, while Free T4 and TSH did not.

I am on levothyroxine 125 - thats about where my doc wants to run me right now since i do have ALOT of symptoms where were treating more symptoms then tsh i am also on supplements to help with energy and other things
Your results tell me that your Free T3 is far too low in the range. The range is too broad. Many members, myself included, report that symptom relief for them required that Free T3 was adjusted into the upper third of the range, and Free T4 adjusted to around the midpoint of the range. Free T3 largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Scientific studies have shown that Free T3 correlated best with hypo symptoms, while Free T4 and TSH did not correlate.
I did not look far enough to confirm that you are taking thyroid meds. If so, what is the daily dosage and brand?
i have Hashimoto with numbers normal and lower side antibodies high and still servery symptomatic. my numbers dont tell you anything really but here they are

goes away when your numbers are right
Do you have a thyroid condition? One of the major symptoms of hypothyroidism is intolerance to cold......... If you haven't been tested, do so. Get TSH, Free T3 and Free T4.
Many doctors will only test for TSH - don't settle for that, because that's a pituitary hormone, that does not correlate with symptoms......
If you've been tested, post your results, with reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab, so must come from your own report, so members can help assess your situation and possibly help find a solution.
