If possible I would try and get the results for Vitamin D and B12 and supplement as needed to optimize to levels mentioned above.
I am going to send you a PM with doctor info. To access, just click on your name and then from your personal page, click on messages.
I don't know he didn't tell me or post them on mychart.
Sorry but I don't have any names of doctors that are closer than Chicago, that I could recommend.
What were your actual Vitamin D and B12 results?
That was total t3. Free t3 was3.8 (2.4-4.0) I really hate Chicago but I do need a real dr. I would prefer one in a smaller town. I also hate this auto fill in the word thing it is hard to type what I want.
I am not sure which T3 test that is. I don't recognize the range. Your Free T4 is terribly low. I suspect that you are very hypothyroid and your doctors are not taking very good care of you. One said you are in great shape and the other is dosing your med based on TSH apparently, which doesn't work, and then he also ignores your symptoms and said he will see you in a year. Fire them both.
A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypothyroid patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T4 and Free T3 as needed to relieve symptoms without being constrained by resultant TSH levels. Symptom relief should be all important, not just test results and especially not TSH. I say that about TSH because it is frequently is suppressed below range when taking significant doses of thyroid med. That does not mean you are hyper unless you have hyper symptoms due to excessive levels of Free T4 and Free T3.
Just because your Vitamin D and B12 are within range does not mean that is adequate for you. D should be about 55 and B12 in the very upper end of its range. In addition hypo patients are frequently too low in the range for ferritin. You need to test that and supplement as needed to optimize at about 70.
Most of all you need a good thyroid doctor. If you are willing to travel to the Chicago area I have the names of two doctors that are highly recommended by another member.
T3 1.58 (.8-1.6) t4 .6 (.9-1.8) d3 normal b12 normal I don't have the numbers I have split armour, I have even skipped it for a month I don'th ever feel different. Is there such a thing as a good thyroid dr?
Please post your latest test results for Free T3, Free T4, along with their reference ranges shown on the lab report. Have you been tested for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin? If so please post those also. Do you split your Armour dose and take half in morning and other half in early afternoon?
When already taking thyroid med, TSH is a wasted test. As an example, there was a scientific study that showed that 108 thyroid patients classified as euthyroid (neither hypo nor hyper) had a TSH level that ranged from .1 to 19.7. The important thing is symptom relief, not just test results. A hypo patient should be medicated enough to eliminate signs/symptoms of hypothyroidism, without creating any signs/symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
