Extremely dry skin

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend products for extremely dry body skin due to hypothryoidism while I work with my Dr. to get my levels where they need to be.  I've only been on Synthroid for a month and understand it can take a while to get the dosage where it needs to be, but I could really use some help dealing with my skin during this time.  The only body wash I can use is Palmer's cocoa butter moisturizing body wash. I also use their gel body oil which is very heavy.  My hands are really taking a hit as well.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks sissaphus, I'm going to try the Shikai lotion (I'd been looking at it on Amazon). I always moisturize after showers, and have been supplementing but the dry, itchy skin is driving me crazy :(

I like Shakai Unscented Borage Lotion for my body and Argan oil for my face. Pure Aloe Vera Gel and you can also try pure coco butter since you seem to like it.  I've tried Jojoba oil, but it didn't work for me personally. You might also want to consider increasing your intake of foods rich in Vitamin C, E, A and Fish if you don't already do that (I don't eat fish, but take fish oil). Also avoid hot or prolonged showers and moisture as soon as you towel off. Hope you start feeling better real soon - hang in there!
