follow up -- went to a regular doc for the eye twitching, also called endo. Endo said it could possibly be thyroid and if it keeps up to have family doc run bloodwork again. Regular doc suggested I get off all caffeine and see if it improves. So I got off the caffeine. It got better and has been better for 4 days now. Don't know if it was the caffeine or thyroid. But thank you to everyone who responded.
I was just diagnosed with Hasi's and am still slightly hypo at the moment. My eyelid has been twitching for well over 5months now. it's slowly going away, but still visits me daily.
did you see how I wrote female? ( femail) - OMG I must have really been side tracked LOL
The eye twitch can be associated to many things - yes - stress too. But in your original post - more stuff is going on and some hormone panels might be helpful to confirm or rule out issues.
My family doc isn't in for another week due to the holidays. Thank you for your help. When your eye twitches is it usually strictly one eye? I've noticed too when I wash over it with a wash cloth or rub my eye , it usually starts the twitching. Today is has lessened some. I can count maybe only 5 or 6 occurances today. Still there but not as often. I took a Valium last night , don't know if that is what helped or not. I am going to try to wait the week and see if maybe it gets better or worse. I read that stress / anxiety can cause eye twitches too.
When mixing alot of medication for your issues - something always functions abnormal.
Here is what my thoughts are - I would call your regular doctor and ask for some hormonal testing - both femail and thyroid - maybe adrenals too.
You may pin point the issue on those. In my situation : - my eye will twitch when I am falling hypo - BUT - it also it that when I was high with Grave hyperthyroid antibodies too.
I forgot to mention that I also have IBS or irribtable bowel syndrom and have to take meds to slow down things. (yucky)
