Not sure if this is a thyroid related question or not. For several months now, when I bend over, my head gets very thick and stuffy and feels like the blood is pooling there. Veins stand out in my neck and forehead. If I get down on the ground to search for something under a buffet table or something like that (my cats love to hide my keys) the pressure is unbearable. When I right myself, it takes a second but most of the pressure and pain go away. Lately I've been having this feeling at more and more. I can't lay flat on the ground on my back or in bed--I have to sleep on my side. I thought maybe it was sinus pressure, but my nose is mostly clear and I'm not getting any infected looking discharge. I had been having trouble with acid reflux, but I've taken steps to calm that down. Could the reflux (LPRD) be related to the head pressure/pain? I am 26, have never had any serious health issues and I'm told my blood pressure is on the low side. My face and neck have been feeling a little hot recently too--something's not quite right. Variable hotness, it comes and goes very quickly. I've also had a variable ringing in my ears for a couple months too. What is going on?! Is this a blood pressure related thing, a heart related thing, a reflux related thing, a diet related thing? I have been very frustrated about this and somewhat worried too. I appreciate any help or steps to take to get rid of the problem. Does this sound like a thyroid issue? I haven't gained any weight, but I do have generalized aches and pains that last for quite some time. Also I have trouble with fatigue (but what college kid doesn't?) and temperature intolerance. Could it have been a misdiagnosis on the acid reflux? Sometimes I feel like there's a lump in my throat, particularly when I stretch to look straight up, but that's a symptom of both. I could use some advice.
