Glands

My glands are always swollen under my jaw, which makes my neck and ears hurt all of the time. Would this have anything to do with my thyroid? Should I bring this up to the Dr. at my endo appt. next week or will I sound like a weirdo if I do?

Ahhh...I found them, but I don't see the page where I can find info to do a self examination? I can feel my glands for sure, but I don't think my thyroid is sticking out.

if you look up at the top - in blue - to the right of the page - there is a hyperlink called "Health Pages" that will take you to them.

I have not been diagnosed yet, but I have tons of symptoms and a strong family history- I thought only on my fathers side of the family, but yesterday I found out that my little (half) sister just got diagnosed yesterday with hypo. (She has a different father.) I had no idea she was even sick and it looks like my mother might even by ill too. So anyhow, all I know is that I've been sick and my first appointment with an endo is next wed.

I am fairly new to the site, where can I find the health pages?

You may want to preform a neck check yourself to see if you can notice anything to pin point the problem to your doctor at your appointment. In our health pages here have instuctions on how to do that.

Yes, you should bring it up and have your Endo feel your neck glands.
Have you been diagnosed with a thyroid disorder?
