It's distressing to read what you are going through.  I can only imagine what this must be doing to you and it's heartbreaking.

I hope you find whatever answers you need and that everything, and I mean everything, works out in your favor.

Having taken care of and managed two cancers my father experienced, I believe on most insurance plans you are entitled to a second opinion on something like this, if you so choose.

This might seem like a obvious question, but have you looked at what Thyca.org has to say?

All thoughts and best wishes for you...

I agree with Utah - Get in that office for the second opinion and treated better  and then fight like he// with that insurance company after you get treated right!

You'll be healthy again after a compatent surgeon like the one Utah has takes care of you to fight back with these insurance idiots. Just go.

Sweetie - you know I'm here for you.  Just an email away.  Seriously, call Cindy at Grua's office and try to get a referral for a second opinion that your insurance will cover or call and scream, cry, beg or threaten your insurance for a second opinion.  Or call Huntsman's.  They need to treat this - not just "wait and see"!    Love you honey!  I'm here for you!!

Oh man.  I hate how this thing never feels over and your peace of mind hangs in the balance while the doctors give us NO information!  It's so annoying.  I'm so sorry you are going through this.  Listen, IF this persistent or recurrent disease, the worst case scenario is that you have additional surgeries and/or RAI both of which you have been through and can totally handle.  Just try to remember that.  And hang in there :)

Did you get in touch with Utah? Drop her a PM - She, out of all of us - can certainly shed some light on this.

You have every right to feel the way you do. Persue this for the best outcome.  I don't like the waiting the 3 mth thing either - especially with your past history of all the stuff you went though.

Hi,

I can understand why you're freaking. Can your doc give you more information / reassure you?  He definitely should be talking to you not just telling you to come back in 3 months, meanwhile leaving you with this over your head!

What about a second opinion on how to handle this.

Haven't had your situation, but Geez, I feel for you.

Don't panic yet, I understand thyroid cancer is usually one of the easiest to treat....  if that's what it is....

Hang in there and keep venting......

Attitude will help a lot - whatever it is...!
