I should have also mentioned that there is a condition called postpartum thyroiditis that can result in slightly hyper symptoms for a while before reverting to normal, or in some cases to permanent hypothyroidism. This is discussed in the following quote, "The exact cause of postpartum thyroiditis isn't clear. However, women who develop postpartum thyroiditis often have high concentrations of anti-thyroid antibodies in early pregnancy and after childbirth. As a result, it's believed that women who develop postpartum thyroiditis likely have an underlying autoimmune thyroid condition that flares after childbirth due to fluctuations in immune function. This underlying condition appears to be very similar to Hashimoto's disease, in which your immune system attacks your thyroid gland." I am sure your symptoms/condition will be very familiar to the Endo. Please keep us tuned in on your progress.
Your TPO ab test is indicative of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which is a result of the autoimmune system erroneously identifying your thyroid gland as foreign to the body and producing antibodies to attack and eventually destroy the gland. As this proceeds nodules that can form on the gland, or the gradual destruction of the gland itself, can cause leakage of thyroid hormone at a faster rate than normal. Hashi's patients frequently go through a hyper period, followed by reversion to hypothyroidism.
You said you are not feeling well at all. What symptoms do you have?
