Help Sleeping

So I've had symptoms of hypo for several months. I've got an appt with an endo in May. In the meantime any ideas on how to sleep better. I'm so tired of being tired.  I'm falling asleep during the day but I can't sleep more than a few hours a night because of the tossing and turning. I've tried sleeping pills, but they don't help.

Unfortunately, I've had to switch doc's before I even got a diagnosis. I discovered that my PCP is a flake and a liar. So I made an appointment with an endo but I can't go until May.

You could ask your doctor if it's okay to take some magnesium.  It has a calming effect, and if taken before bedtime, can help you sleep better.  Avoid mag oxide...it's nothing but a laxative.  You want either mad citrate or mag glycinate.

Are you taking medicine for hypo?  After beginning meds, my sleep quality improved.  I have chronic insomnia, but when I do sleep it is much better.  May is a way off.  If you're not currently on meds, might ask the doc who dx'd you about starting.  Good luck.
