Question about heavy bleeding, Hypothyroidism and Synthroid

For most of my adult life I have been plagued by heavy, irregular, periods. I would bleed for three months and be off for two, that kind of heavy and irregular. For years no doctor could (or would) be able to find out what was wrong with me. Only recently did I get tested for hypothyroidism, and surprise, my thyroid is underactive.
So the question I have is this …. none of my bleeding has actually stopped so does that mean it isn't my thyroid? I was told that once I started taking meds, my bleeding would stop or get better. I've been on the medications for over three months. At first I was taking 25mcg Levothyroxine, but I was having side effects so the doctor changed me to Synthroid, same dosage. For a while, I didn't bleed, but that was right after they removed the IUD they said would stop the bleeding but didn't. So I figured it had something to do with that. But, the bleeding started back up and now it's actually gotten worse since my doctor upped my meds to 75 mcg Synthroid. Within a few hours of taking it I'm bleeding much the same way I was when I was put on blood thinners - which was so incredibly awful, I don't know how I survived it. But is this a temporary thing? I know it takes time to see any results, so should I wait this out to see if it will get better? I've kind of always wanted my dosage upped because I felt like the 25mcg wasn't doing anything if my bleeding was still going on, but at the same time this is not awesome.

I know that was long. Sorry. But, any help would truly be appreciated.

What other symptoms do you have, if any?  Please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report, when you were started on thyroid med.   Also any that are more recent.
