thyroid and hives

Can anyone shed some light on thyroid disease and hives (Utricaria) I ask because I have had hives ever since I lost my thyroid to cancer in 2016 I had them as a young kid out grew them until 2016 and just recently I had a sever hives attack that sent me to the Emergency Room they were so bad that the back and top of my head swelled had them almost every where except face and I'm a pretty vanilla eater ..same old same old food wise and no new meds or vitamins.

Is this connected to thyroid levels ? I'm terrified to swell up again my head still hurts.

"Elevated thyroid antibodies are often associated with chronic urticaria, also called hives. Studies report that as many as 57.4% of patients with hives have the presence of anti-thyroid antibodies. An August 2010 paper suggests that treatment with T4 improves the itching associated with urticaria, but did not advise treatment with T4 unless the patient was hypothyroid." - excerpt from Life Extention - Thyroid Regulation

Hi Red_star
My Antibodies haven't been elevated but I wonder if my blood work really reflects what's truly going on inside my body because I inject a monthly biologic medicine for Psoriasis/Psoriatic Arthritis and I think this medication interferes with my labs but, I can't find anything that backs my theory up.
I can't find any info about that online either.

I get aquagenic urticaria (water hives) with too much thyroid hormone in the blood.  Even just a mild amount of excess thyroid hormone will cause this.

Wow...never heard of water hives although it says it's rare and has no known cause.  I can say for sure mine are not from water just random and odd I don't think I have too much thyroid meds in me I feel like I don't have enough...
Yeah I have a lot of rare conditions meh lol. I'll post more info on hives as I do know it can be seen with autoimmune thyroid disease.
