I used to find that a cold cloth laid on my neck helped the pain, along with ibuprofen. Do not rub or palpate the area.
For the other symptoms, we'd need to know your actual thyroid hormone levels, so per gimel's request, please post them, along with reference ranges, which vary lab to lab, so must come from your own report.
Sounds like you might need a med increase.
For painful thyroiditis caused by inflammation, aspirin or ibuprofen may work. However such drugs should not be used if swelling or pain caused by bleeding or patient has blood coagulating disorders.
Also meant to ask what is your daily dosage of Armour Thyroid?
