I have to help my daughter

My daughter is 5 she was diagnosed at 3 with hypothyroid. She has always been at 100 and above percential on growth chart she now weighs 78 lbs my question is why is she so over weight, She does not live a seditary life she is active and is not over fed by any means I am educated in nutriton and know what she should be eating. granted she has the ocassional sugar items ie juice or candy but by no means an excedssive amount. I am at a loss here the doctors say its her diet and theres no other explination. her endo says she will not do a fasting glucose as she feels it is not necessary. She is on 25 mcg a day synthroid, has obsttructive sleep apnia and compains of her hands hurting. they have done a bone age x ray and it was normal. concerning her levels of ths the only labs they have done or at least the only ones they will give me they have fluctiated from the beginning to the highest being 7.42 and lowest being 0.03 so i am so confused with her general blood work she has had a consistant over the past 3 years a high ,BUN/creatine ratio and low Crbon Dioxide levels when i questioned the doctor he says its consistant with being dehydrated, but for 3 years. I 'm not for certain what to do at this point the doctors feel shes a product of enviroment and i do not agree i am very small framed and my husband is large but not obese. my son is average and my family history is average. I need to find some answers I need to help her maintain a healthy weight to ensure she stays the sincerly happy child she is the world is mean and shes already getting teased about her size if anyone can give suggestions on what to do or what to ask the physicians it would help.

I feel consumed with this incredible bright pink book entitled OVERCOMING THYROID DISORDERS by David Brownstein M.D.  www.drbrownstein.com   I bought it in a compound pharmacy. I am not preaching nor pushing anything, just something for emotional ease and perhaps somewhere to turn...his book also gives out his phone number with his work address......prayers to your family.
