Hashimotos and hypoglycemia

My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Hashimotos and sever Hypoglycemia at the same time, is there a link between these two disorders?

Hello...How scary..I know thyroid disorders can play a role in pancreatic function, and the onset of diabetes,but please, just to be sure, have her worked up just in case this is being caused by a insulin-producing tumor...Keep a tube of cake frosting on hand for the lowest sugar times (only give if she is conscious enough to swallow!) -it tastes way better than glucose paste! If you get really desperate, and emergent help is a long way off, the icing or glucose paste can be given anally too..The membranes absorb it quickly ..Children's systems react quite a bit differently than adults, so don't be surprised if she seems fine, and 10 min later isn't...Good luck with a rapid diagnosis..

I don't know hon, you could read this, it is very in depth. I also have Hashis and sugar issues.
