I'm full of fun things!

Alright, so this week I feel as though I've been falling apart. Earlier this week, on the exercise forum, I posted about having a pain similar to menstrual cramping after jogging. That happened twice (and it's been raining so I haven't tested it out again). The day after that, I noticed a nagging, dull pain in the lower right quadrant of my back. It doesn't feel like a muscle pain... and I'm on the third day of that. My husband grabbed my sides to tickle me this morning & I winced in pain for the right side. Yes, I understand that this (probably) has nothing to do with my thyroid (hypo/hashi) condition, but I was wondering if any of you have had this experience.

Luckily, I'm going to my doctor on Monday, so if it's still hanging out, then I'll talk to him about it. The problem is that I've gotten to a point where it seems like there is something wrong with me on a weekly basis & I've been trying to filter out what is worth calling his attention to & what will pass on its own. My main concern with this current issue is that it does not feel remotely like a muscle pain. I'm almost concerned that it's my appendix, but don't want to be a hypochondriac about it. *sigh*

What're the thoughts folks?

Sorry for the delay! I'm way behind these days! I just wanted to let you know that no, it wasn't my appendix, thank goodness! BUT it did turn out that I had passed a stone and had/have another one waiting on the left side. Oh well....that's just part of the game (that my body is playing with me)!

Many thanks for your insights! I've fairly well convinced myself that it can't possibly be my appendix, but my mind is overactive when it comes to these things & that's right where it went. I ended up emailing my Dr. and haven't received a reply... I did, however, take an anti-inflammatory & that worked wonders (i'm not very fond of taking meds often). The thing about the kidney is that is just doesn't feel like when i've had stones previously - in either the pain or the position. But it just may have manifested itself somewhere else!

To make a long story short... thanks. I guess we'll just see how this pans out. My bet is on it disappearing by tomorrow and leaving me red-faced (with embarrassment). Eh. ;)

Can tick the appendix box for you ---pain lower quandrant front, generally not back, and usually with fever and nausea/vomitting and generally builds to pain cresendo within 36 hrs.  Try the trampoline test ---lie on back, put fingers on that lower right front area - push down, when you release ----you should hit the ceiling with pain (ie more painful releasing, not pushing). If appendix ----you may not make it by Mon!  Kidney -- now that might be more plausible as that is back.  If he's a good doc, he'll want you to tell warts and all, and things need to be seen within a pattern of a patchwork of seemingly unconnected events.  Think Lois Lane w notebook in hand.  Hope you get some relief in mean time!!  Lucky you getting hub tickles.  : )

I should probably also mention that I do have a history of kidney stones, and it sure doesn't feel like that, either.

Argh!
