The ENT doc who took out my thyroid wondered why my T numbers were still running a little high. It was 3 months after my surgery that he realized that he hadn't mentioned that the synthroid works better when taken by itself, but that he didn't think there was a problem to combine it with my coumadin. Now I don't know. I will pose the question first thing this Monday to my pharmacist. Thank you all for your comments.
I found that by taking my heart medication and T4 med at the same time, I felt like I was 'spaced out'.
Persoanlly I wouldnt take any other med for at least an hour after you take your T4 med.
It should be taken alone.
Hmmmm, yes I agree ... I thought that the Synthroid should be taken alone?

Hi,
Would be best to ask your pharmacist what is the best timing for these meds. He/she would know best about possible interactions. Key however is to be consistent with how you take the meds.
Best wishes.
