It is important that they also test for the actual thyroid hormones, Free T4, and Free T3, which are not the same as Total T4 and Total T3. So be sure they test for the Frees. Also, hypothyroid patients are frequently too low in Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, so you should request to be tested for those as well. If the doctor resists doing those tests, you should insist and don[t take no for an answer. They are important for you.
When you have results, please post them here, along with reference ranges shown on the lab report and we will help interpret and advise further. .
MD only ordered TSH level. Will be going back to my PCP next week if I’m not feeling better per his instructions.
Having a suppressed TSH is quite common when taking a full dosage of thyroid med. That doesn't automatically mean you have become hyper, unless you are having hyper symptoms due to excessive levels of Free T4 and Free T3. So please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report, as a start.
