I agree you need to see those frees.
As LM said, you could be in rollercoaster mode. Another possibility: I found that once my FT4 reached a stable level, my FT3 continued to rise with no further rise in FT4 levels. One theory is that once FT4 is present again at sufficient levels, it takes conversion a while to ramp back up.
Get the frees tested...you don't want to be guessing at this.
I was borderline on the antibodies so they never said that I was or was not.
Remember at the beginning of Hashimoto (did you have hashi antibodies?) levels can 'roller coaster' in some people - meaning med adjustments.
But you really need to see the 'frees'.
I get heart palpitations when my T3 and T4 are very low - its not always a hyper symptom. Again, we are all individuals.
Thanks Shelley,
Well it's kinda odd cause last time I checked it was at a really good level. I am assuming that it had reached therapeutic leve/dose cause I had already been on it long enough for it to do that.
Would this mean that my thyroid is kicking in more?
Or is this just an one off deal?
forgot to mention - I feel best when my TSH is between .05 and 1
Hi Dreeft
Well....if your heart was pounding like African drums cutting the dosage back seems logical. That is an awful feeling - I remember that so well when I was in the hyper stage of my hashimotos. EKG came back fine though - go figure.
I guess the dorctor didn't check your thryoid hormone levels... need to see where the FreeT3 & FreeT4 levels are to see what's up.
Remember the selenium calcium & magnesiun at night Dreeft : )
