levothyroxine iodine
hello everyone tx in advance for reading this
my concerns are about the levothyroxine iodine content, as far as i know for every 100 mcg of levo it contains 52 mcg of iodine ....
at this moment im taking 200mcg of levo and 150 mcg of iodine in a multivitamin, my question here is , is the iodine from levo can result in a overcomsumption of iodine here? is the iodine from levo have the same role in organism as the iodine from food/supplements have?

I think there is some confusion about iodine in Levo. Levothyroxine doesn't contain "added" iodine. The T4 in Levo is a molecule of tyrosine (an amino acid - the T) with 4 iodine atoms attached (the 4). When already taking the 200 mcg of Levo, I can't see why you need the iodine supplement.
